the pixel shader version is 4.1 and the Vertex Shader version is 4.1 also?
So why does my graphics card not perform well verses lower video ram cards?
And does my OS affect how well a game will run?|||A video card's power really isn't determined by its ram but more so on other things like the Memory Type, Shaders, and clock speed. Having a lot of Memory on a low end video card is somewhat useless because the card wouldn't have the power to support the high resolutions that GPU Memory can provide in the first place.
That being said your card doesn't have 2257mb of Memory and is most likely closer to 512-1024mb. If you want an accurate assessment of your cards Memory along with other information then forget whatever you were using before and download "GPU-Z"
Also, an operating system has very limited impact on how games run as long as its 64bit, any version of Win7/Vista/XP 64bit should run all the newest games fine but i would definitely recommend Win7.|||Memory isn't everything.
Have a look on here; http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gami…
Based on this your graphics card is equivalent to some mid-range cards from about 7 years ago, hence not being very good.
